On June 5, Minister Arrindell attended the official opening of the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) at the House of Representatives of the Netherlands in The Hague. The consultation, which is taking place from 5 to 8 June 2026, brings together parliamentary delegations from Sint Maarten, Curaçao, Aruba and the Netherlands to discuss issues of shared importance within the Kingdom. Minister Arrindell attended the public debate on the Standing Committee for Kingdom Relations of the Dutch House of Representatives from the public gallery on Thursday May 28th. The debate focused on matters relating to a number of important issues concerning Sint Maarten, Aruba and Curaçao and provided an opportunity for the Minister to personally follow these discussions on issues of importance to the countries within the Kingdom of the Netherlands. On Friday, 22 May 2026, Drs. Gracita R. Arrindell, Minister Plenipotentiary, attended the unveiling ceremony of the sculpture Human Tribe Totem by renowned Uruguayan artist Roberto Vivo on the grounds of the International Criminal Court in The Hague. The sculpture, donated by Uruguay to the International Criminal Court, was officially unveiled during a ceremony hosted by the Embassy of Uruguay to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the Permanent Representation to the International Organisations in The Hague. On Wednesday May 20, Drs. Gracita R. Arrindell, Minister Plenipotentiary, attended a reception hosted by the Cabinet of Aruba in The Hague in honour of the introduction of Aruba’s newly appointed Minister Plenipotentiary, Mildred G.M. Schwengle. The gathering also marked two important milestones for Aruba: 40 years of Status Aparte and the 50th anniversary of the Aruban flag and anthem. Minister Arrindell discusses sustainable solutions for waste management on Sint Maarten
On Wednesday, 13 May, Minister Plenipotentiary Arrindell met with Sipke de Haan and Roel van de Loo for a constructive discussion on environmental governance, waste management, and sustainable development on Sint Maarten.
