Minister Arrindell attended the commemoration of the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations at the Peace Palace in The Hague on Wednesday, 10 June. The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Diplomat Magazine. Minister Arrindell interviewed by expert group on democratic deficit within the Kingdom
On Tuesday, June 9, Minister Arrindell participated in an interview with the expert group on the Democratic Deficit within the Kingdom at the Cabinet in The Hague. The interview formed part of a series of consultations being conducted by the expert group in all four countries of the Kingdom. The group was mandated by the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO) to examine the democratic deficit within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and to identify opportunities for strengthening democratic participation, representation and cooperation.
