The Cabinet of the Minister Plenipotentiary has published the 3rd Quarterly Newsletter (October 2025 edition), offering readers a glimpse into key highlights and initiatives from the past months.
From The Hague to Philipsburg and beyond, this quarter has been one of connection, creativity, and collaboration, adding that this edition highlights the launch of the Diaspora Database, the arrival of new students in the Netherlands, and meaningful diplomatic engagements that reflect Sint Maarten’s growing visibility.
The quarterly publication also looks back on cultural moments that brought the Cabinet together with various stakeholders, from the book presentation of Ralph Cantave to the Rotterdam Summer Carnival.
The content of the publication is primarily aimed at the Sint Maarten diaspora in the Netherlands, while keeping the homefront informed of its activities.
The 3rd edition further features coverage of the Meet & Greet with Minister of Education, Culture, Youth and Sports Melissa Gumbs; the launch of Cari-Aire; the National Commemoration of the Dutch Slavery Past; Dutch Veterans Day; the visit of former Minister Plenipotentiary Josianne Fleming-Artsen; Amsterdam Sail; and the visit by the University of St. Martin.
Other article highlights include the Cabinet’s representation at several high-level meetings, such as the courtesy visit of Governor Ajamu Baly, the OCTA (Overseas Countries and Territories Association) Ministerial Conference, Prinsjesdag, the Kingdom Council of Ministers, and the Interparliamentary Kingdom Consultation (IPKO).
