Bureau for Intellectual Property Sint Maarten is an Independent Governing Body, and must obtain, manage and account for its own financial resources. The main objective of the Bureau is to facilitate the registration of trademarks, both nationally and internationally. The work of the Bureau is carried out at a high standard and in a highly legal environment.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelors(HBO) or Masters (WO) Degree in Business and Finance;
- Possesses advanced expertise in financial management, administration, auditing, implementing financial strategy, producing internal and external reports and offering insightful advice on the organization’s financial position to ensure compliance with laws, regulations and alignment with its objectives;
- Demonstrates the ability to solve a complex set of practical and financial issues, requiring expert knowledge, analytical skills and a comprehensive overview;
- Operates independently and has excellent coaching skills;
- Initiates, enhances and implements processes, methods, best practices and/orsystems;
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
